D N Heating is run by Darren, a Gas Safe registered heating engineer (registration number 533881) based at 305 Peppard Road, Reading RG4 8TQ. What we collect

When you contact us or we carry out work for you, we may collect:

your name, phone number and email address
your address or postcode
details of the job, your boiler or heating system, and photos taken during the work
records of the work we carry out, including gas safety records and certificates
invoices and payment records

Why we use it

We use your information to:

reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
arrange and carry out the work
keep the gas safety and job records we are required to keep
send invoices and keep our accounts
register boiler warranties and notify building control of new installations where required
remind you when a service or safety check is due, if you have asked us to

We do this because it is needed to provide the service you asked for, because the law requires us to keep certain records, or because we have a genuine business reason to do so. We never sell your information or use it for marketing by other companies.

Who we share it with

We only share your information when we need to, with:

the Gas Safe Register, for building regulation notifications on new gas appliances
boiler and appliance manufacturers, to register your warranty
our accountant, for our business accounts and tax
Web3Forms, which passes messages from the contact form on this website to our email
our email and IT providers, which store our messages and records securely

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not lead to any work for up to 12 months. We keep job records, gas safety records and invoices for up to 6 years, to meet our legal, safety and tax obligations. After that we delete or securely destroy them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and in some cases to ask us to delete it or stop using it. To do any of these, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
